<p>This book deals with regional powers and what exactly they want to achieve in the global political economy. It highlights the notion of <i>redistribution </i>as the core of their aspirations, and identifies the capacities and shortcomings of these states to achieve these aspirations.</p><p>This book was published as a special issue of <em>Global Society</em>.</p>
